Classroom Behavior Specialist/Milieu CounselorJob Title: Classroom Behavior Specialist/Milieu CounselorLocation: On-Site BostonPosition Type: Full-Time Summary of position: The Baker Center for Children and Families (also known as Judge Baker Children's Center), promotes the best possible mental health of children and families through the integration of research, intervention, training, and policy. As a member of a three-person, multidisciplinary classroom team, the Classroom Behavior Specialist/Milieu Counselor ensures that students are assisted using effective behavioral support strategies. The Classroom Behavior Specialist/Milieu Counselor utilizes positive behavior interventions, behavior analytic principles, and strong relationships to support students in all daily activities. This individual provides active supervision both within and outside of the classroom, models social interactions between students, and intervenes effectively in periods of behavioral dysregulation.
