Position Overview: Provide leadership for the effective conduct of the financial affairs of Many Rivers Whole Health (MRWH) and assists MRWH to achieve its mission and improve MRWH sustainability. This position plans, directs and evaluates the financial operations of MRWH including budget formulation and management, accounting and financial reporting, and debt financing. Ensures that company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles. Success in this position will require extensive financial training, experience, and a collaborative management style. Reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and works effectively with the Executive Team. Oversight of accounts payable and accounting departments.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for the oversight and preparation of profit and loss statements, develops cash flows projections, financial statements, budgets, and tax reporting.
- Create and distribute the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Supervises MRWH financial functions to ensure accounting, investments, insurance, budget reporting, AP, bank reconciliation, and other financial service elements are complaint and of the highest standard.
- Is a member of the Executive Team.
- Responsible for developing the operational budget with the goals to meet the established margin threshold established by the Board and CEO and engages in a continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of managers on the financial issues impacting departmental budgets.
- Develops, recommends and implements MRWH policies relevant to the financial management and operations.
- Provides strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting MRWH i.e., evaluation of potential alliances, sustainable programs, acquisitions, and/or mergers, retirement funds and investments.
- Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.
- Provides financial reports each month to the Chief Executive Officer, including recommendations.
- Provide monitory compliance with debt covenants, lease agreements, and all other applicable financial contacts.
- Serves as a liaison between CEO and external customers regarding the financial and administrative services and operations of MRWH. (Auditing firm, bank representatives, etc.)
- Coordinates debt financing and debt service payments with external agencies. Develops a reliable cash flow process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
- Lead in development, negotiation, and renewal of the financial aspects’ contracts and agreements, serves as liaison with insurance company and investment advisor.
- Manage the preparation of the official annual report of actual revenues, transfers, and expenses.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements for non-profiting operations.
- Minimizing MRWH safety/risk management polices to include the oversight of MRWH insurance policies/practices.
- Works with CEO and Directors to develop business plans for the company.
- Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the financial department’s goals and objectives.
- Is responsible for the completion of the financial audits and works effectively with external auditors to complete annual audits in a timely manner.
- Maintains financial staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Maintains financial staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring and appraising job results.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from college or university with a bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration with an emphasis in accounting with ten (10) years of experience is required
OR
- Master’s degree in finance or accounting with three to five years of professional experience in areas such as finance, organizational management, non-profit accounting experience, etc. is required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Montana is preferred.
- Three to Five years in accounting work experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.

Salary: $90,000 DOE
Salary CPA: $100,000 DOE
