Job Summary: Manzana is looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee and coordinate our daily warehousing activities. As a team leader, you will seek to manage and improve productivity, quality, and customer service standards in a fast-moving food industry environment. In collaboration with other operations departments, you will participate in maintaining audit readiness, food defense and inventory accuracy goals for Manzana.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervision
- Manage, assign, and direct the daily activities of the warehouse team to achieve prescribed objectives.
- Supports the team to perform daily activities by collaborating with other departments, removing obstacles, and checking in with team regularly to resolve issues and determine what support they need.
- Supports company training programs, to ensure team completes all training within specified timeframe.
- Continually evaluates the performance of warehouse team members.
- When necessary, works with management and Human Resources to take corrective disciplinary measures via progressive and well documented program.
- Safety
- Develops, implements and directs programs to ensure the safety of all personnel to meet Company standards and federal regulations.
- Reports all work-related injuries to the EHS team immediately, filing appropriate reports and seeking medical attention as needed.
- Actively promotes safety awareness and ensures the continued effectiveness of the programs.
- Ensures that regularly scheduled safety inspections are conducted, and any necessary corrective actions are taken.
- Ensures areas of responsibility are audit ready at all times.
- Warehouse
- Plans and manages the effective utilization of space to meet cost and service standards.
- Develops and maintains procedures to ensure the efficient operation and utilization of all warehouse equipment.
- Suggest equipment usage for efficient operations.
- Plans and schedules all warehouse activities including receiving, storage, staging and shipping in an efficient economical manner that meets the customer requirements.
- Responsible for inventory control, directing procedures to ensure the security of assets and the prevention of damages or loss.
- Maintain cycle count programs to audit inventory accuracy.
- Operate and demonstrate use of specialized warehouse equipment as necessary; assure proper and routine maintenance and servicing of warehouse vehicles and equipment
- Assist management in establishing warehouse standards and procedures; advise of budget-related needs.
