QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
· State standards.
· Core curriculum.
· Special education regulations.
· A variety of instructional strategies appropriate for different disability types.
· Successful collaboration and co-teaching strategies.
Ability to:
· Provide special education assessments.
· Write legally compliant and educationally meaningful assessment reports.
· Work in a collaborative relationship with parents, and general and special education staff members. · Develop and implement a functional behavior plan. -Enter IEP info into SEIS forms -Schedule, Monitor and regulate IEP timelines -Provide ongoing feedback on IEP writing and management -Attend all IEP meetings as Case Manager -Coordinate and communicate with case managers regarding all specific IEP-related issues for students on their caseloads; edit and approve all IEPs.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
· Provides direct instructional support to students with special needs, individually and/or general classroom setting.
· Provides consultation to staff and parents of special needs students.
· Conducts assessments, develops IEPs and participates in IEP meetings.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements Valid California Special Education Credential Mild/Moderate and ELL authorization
