What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billingual Teacher Assistant- Infants position at Manzanita Preschool?
We are seeking a loving, patient, and experienced Infant Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education and understands the importance of responsive caregiving in a child's earliest months.
Responsibilities:
- Provide responsive, individualized care to infants aged 3 months to 12 months
- Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating classroom environment
- Support infants’ physical, emotional, and cognitive development through play and nurturing interactions
- Follow feeding, sleep, and play schedules
- Communicate effectively with parents and provide daily updates
- Observe and document developmental milestones
- Collaborate with co-teachers and administrative staff
- Ensure compliance with all licensing and safety regulations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma; CDA or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Billingual- MUST speak Spanish and English
- Prior experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting
- Knowledge of infant development and best practices in care and learning
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and engage in floor-level play
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.50 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
Work Location: In person
Salary : $14 - $16
