What are the responsibilities and job description for the Extended Day Program Manager position at Manzano Day School?
The Extended Day Program Manager reports to the Director of Auxiliary Programs. The manager oversees the program’s operations and staff. The manager also coordinates before and after-school activities on campus under the Extended Day Child Care Program and Sensations Workshop Program.
- Responsible for recruiting, hiring, and training all staff for the before and after school program.
- Conduct performance evaluations and develop professional development plans for the staff to ensure the program maintains high quality.
- Manage the facility, the employees, and the activities during the extended day program.
- Facilitate and organize the Back-to-School Night, Parent-Teacher Conferences, and Home Visit child care programs.
- Purchase necessary supplies, including afternoon drinks and snacks.
- Manage a budget.
- Responsible for monthly billing.
- Track attendance.
- Enforce policies.
- Maintain safety regulations.
- Conference with parents about behavioral concerns.
- Exemplary organizational skills and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
