What are the responsibilities and job description for the Leasing Agent position at MAO Professional Land Services, Inc.?
MAO is seeking Leasing Agents with experience working in the Central Texas to report to and work directly with the project management team.
Applicants preferred onsite, travel will be reimbursed.
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
Responsibilities:
- Review Oil and Gas Leases and various agreements to ensure accurate lessor and tract information
- Perform limited title checks
- Search title opinions and abstracts for information on mineral owners and tracts
- Record physical oil and gas leases and other legal documents at the County Clerk or Recorder's office
- E-record oil and gas leases and other legal documents
- Maintain documents and records
- Maintain positive relationships with county and state officials
- Redeem tax delinquent properties from State Auditor's offices
- Reach out to landowners, banks and courts to gather information on curative requirements
- Advise landowners on how to cure defects in title
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years experience preferred
- Previous oil and gas, energy or renewable energy negotiation preferred
- Active AAPL membership
- RPL/CPL Certifications preferred
- Proficiency in Totaland, Sharepoint preferred
- Intermediate familiarity with basic computer applications, including Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards
- Significant travel may be required
