Join MAPEI Corporation, a global leader in the manufacturing of construction chemicals and building materials. As a Product Manager, you will play a critical role in managing the full product life cycle in a pre – and post-development environment. This position works closely with the Business Manager to drive product strategy, market positioning, and lifecycle management. Your expertise will support the success of MAPEI’s product lines by identifying market opportunities, defining promotional activities, launching products and ensuring product success from pre-introduction through phase-out.
- Identify market potential, establish pricing and market strategies, and estimate potential sales.
- Collaborate with Research & Development on the specification and testing of new product formulas.
- Develop go-to-market strategies, address distribution channel issues, and manage mature products through phase-out.
- Write technical data sheets and warranties in collaboration with the technical services department.
- Initiate production by providing operations volume estimates and creation of the bill of material.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Department to define promotional activities and publicize the product through press, sales teams, and distribution channels.
- Provide expertise in the assigned product area and contribute to the development of company business plans.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate assigned programs to achieve financial/budgetary goals and optimize resource allocation.
- Manage resources to execute assigned product lines efficiently. Product categories for this role include: grouts, sealants, radiant floor-heating, uncoupling membranes, sound control membranes, masonry mortars and accessory products. Grout chemistries include cement-based, acrylic and epoxies.
- Coordinate program planning with Operations to align manufacturing locations with product demand and ensure proper inventory levels. .
- Work cross-functionally with various internal teams to ensure seamless execution of product strategies. Collaborate with the Purchasing Department on selection of 3rd party suppliers for the private labeling of products; evaluate suppliers based on costs and service.
- Oversee product introduction and market penetration efforts in collaboration with research & development, operations, purchasing and marketing and sales teams.
- Monitor and manage the lifecycle of established products to ensure financial success.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and work procedures.
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, safety rules and instructions.
- Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience. An MBA is preferred. High school or equivilant, required.
- Minimum of two years of industry-related experience, or an equivalent combination of related training and experience.
- Strong knowledge of product marketing, business planning, and go-to-market strategy execution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Microsoft D365 and Power BI experience is helpful.
- Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build cross-functional relationships.
- High level of personal integrity, supporting MAPEI’s Code of Ethics.
- Familiarity with BMS Policy and environmental laws related to product development and marketing.
