Job Summary
Position is based in Webster, MA. Hybrid schedule (4 days in office/1 day remote)
The Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the internal audit function, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and alignment with organizational objectives for MAPFRE USA. This role involves managing audit processes, coordinating audit schedules, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, and providing strategic support to leadership. Also, train, develop, and direct staff to ensure audit work meets acceptable audit standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in internal audit or risk management, and a deep understanding of operational processes.
Skills and Knowledge
Education: Bachelor's Degree Required and minimum of four years supervisory experience required.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation, Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designation preferred / highly valued.
Experience: 9-11 years or master’s degree equivalent plus 7-9 years.
Knowledge: Complete understanding of internal audit standards, risk management, and compliance frameworks. Experience with audit automation tools, data analytics, and modern audit technology is a plus. Exceptional project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Solid written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and drive change. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
