Job Description:
Fireside Grille at Maple Creek Golf Course is looking for a welcoming and customer-focused Host/Server to join our restaurant team. This dual-role position is responsible for greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and providing exceptional table service. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, organized, and dedicated to creating a positive dining experience for every guest.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements.
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently.
- Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entry area.
- Answer phone calls and provide information about restaurant hours, menu, and events.
- Take food and beverage orders promptly and accurately.
- Deliver food and drinks while ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Provide menu recommendations and answer questions about offerings.
- Process payments using POS systems and handle cash/card transactions.
- Assist with setting up and clearing tables, maintaining a clean dining environment.
- Work closely with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service.
Qualifications:
- Previous restaurant experience in hosting and/or serving preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
