What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook position at Maple Crest?
Maple Crest Health Center is looking for a Cook! Come work in our spacious, state-of-the art kitchen!
- Pay starts at $18.00 and up based on experience!
- Full-Time position! 4:30AM - 1:00PM, rotating weekends and holidays!
As a Cook at Maple Crest, you are part of a talented culinary team, helping to create high-quality meals and an exceptional dining experience by assisting with meal preparation, preparing and serving attractive and nutritious meals to the residents, families and staff. You are also responsible to ensure cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and kitchen work area, and assist in inventory and storage of food and supplies.
What We Need From You:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years cooking experience in restaurant, hospital, healthcare, or senior services setting required
- Ability to cook by recipe or from scratch
- Excellent culinary skills
- Culinary training preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards
- Serve Safe Certification preferred, but will help obtain if needed
- Ability to demonstrate positive attitude, patience, emotional maturity to effectively communicate and interact with residents, families and co-workers.
