Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage their check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring optimal use of the dentist's time.
- Review and maintain accurate patient documentation, including care plans and treatment records.
- Verify insurance information and assist patients with insurance-related inquiries.
- Handle phone calls, emails, and other correspondence in a professional manner.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
- Assist with the management of office supplies and equipment as needed.
- Collaborate with dental staff to provide excellent patient care.
Skills
- Proficiency in dental terminology and medical terminology is essential.
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Experience in documentation review and maintaining accurate records.
