Job Title: Floor Technician
Job Type: Full-time
As a Floor Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and cleaning floors in various settings, including commercial, industrial, and healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of floors, including sweeping, mopping, and buffing
- Operate and maintain floor cleaning equipment, such as scrubbers and polishers
- Identify and report any maintenance or repair needs to management
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Ensure all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner
- Communicate effectively with team members and management
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Floor Technician or similar role
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
- Ability to operate and maintain floor cleaning equipment
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies
Physical and Sensory Requirements:
- Moderate physical activity:
- Push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds to a minimum height of three (3) feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of fifty (50) feet.
- Standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
- Bending and/or stooping for more than one (1) hour at a time.
- Assist with cleaning up spills and waste (including human).
- Repetitive gripping of trays, mops, vacuums, etc.
- Exposure to sound of the floor buffer.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $20.00 per hour
