Job Description
The Health Unit Coordinator (H.U.C.) is responsible for coordinating business office functions including nursing department scheduling, telephone and switchboard operations, secretarial support, and providing support to tenants.
Shifts
Looking for evening shift availablity Monday through Friday with every other weekend on-call.
Essential Functions (Including but not limited to the following)
- Create and manage home health aide schedule.
- Actively participates in the reduction of overtime.
- Maintain the resident charts, and file documents.
- Retrieve phone messages, answer phones regularly, taking messages as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of all material.
- Assist with program or arrangements for special functions.
- Copy and fax materials as needed.
- Arrange rides for clients.
- Works as home health aide as needed.
- Coordinate visits of outside providers.
- Identifies staffing needs proactively.
- Works alongside nurses.
