About the position
The Production Manager at Maple Holistics is responsible for front line leadership in the day-to-day operations of the production team. To include, ensuring the attainment of production schedules, improving production efficiency, managing resources and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards. This role is a hands-on role that involves constant monitoring/mentoring of the production team by being involved and present in the daily operations of the production lines as well as strategic planning, employee development, and driving continuous improvement within the department.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure production goals are met efficiently, effectively and consistenly.
- Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring optimal resource allocation and workflow.
- Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as necessary to meet changing demands.
- Lead, mentor, and train production team to foster a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Analyze production data to identify issues or areas of concern as well as areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other departments such as quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain to enhance overall operational performance.
- Drive improvements in packaging line OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
- Ensure safe work practices are followed and drive safety improvements within the department
- Ensure all quality standards (GMP) are followed and understood within the department
- Establish and maintain a robust housekeeping & safety program to ensure OSHA and Hygiene compliance.
- Work with Director of Operations to establish machine/labor standards for new or revised products
- Work to develop team members and establish development plans for personnel within the department
Requirements
- At least 4 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of liquid filling manufacturing and packaging equipment
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated experience with resource allocation, root cause analysis, and process improvement systems/processes
- Self-motivated, self-directed with a continuous improvement mindset
- Strong focus on teamwork and teambuilding
- Strong leadership and organization skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Sheets, etc.)

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
