We’re looking for:
A prolific storyteller: Everything we do – from the food to the brands we create – tells a story. Your job is to lead strategy and execute our story for the Maple and Ash, Monarch and Kessaku brands.
A creative visionary: No idea is big or bold enough, M&A is a pioneer in crafting the restaurant-focused lifestyle brand. From our custom menus to our I DON’T GIVE A F*$K tasting menu – creativity is in our blood.
A flawless executor: This job requires both strategy and execution. You will have to know the full marketing suite – from social media to PR to email marketing to influencer relations.
What You Will Do:
You will report to the Director of Marketing but work closely with the restaurant operations team to ensure complete alignment for all marketing programs. Our overall goal is to build our brand while driving reservations to the restaurants.
EMAIL MARKETING
- Develop, create, and implement email marketing strategy and editorial calendar
- Generate all content (copy, visual assets, etc.) – work with in-house designer to create templates and overall design
- Analyze campaign performance and suggest improvements
- Manage segmentation of the database and implementing remarketing strategies
- Identify target audience to grow database
- A/B testing on various email campaigns to establish the most effective
- Multivariate testing on email marketing campaigns
SOCIAL MEDIA
- Develop and implement a social media marketing strategy
- Create and implement editorial calendar to manage content and plan specific, timely marketing campaigns
- Create engaging content in text, image, and video format
- Create an optimal schedule for posting, considering both customer engagement metrics and web traffic
- Measure and report on the success of every social media campaign
- Facilitate conversations online with customers and respond to any questions
- Report on feedback and reviews from guests
ON PREMISE MARKETING
- Coordinate, support, and promote off-site and in-house marketing events
- Attend operations and other relevant meetings as marketing team representative
- Assist on special projects as needed
PHOTOGRAPHY VIDEOGRAPHY
- Create, manage, and maintain all visual marketing assets on Google Drive and external hard drive
- Create, capture, and edit original photo and video content for all brands for use on all marketing platforms
- Schedule, plan, and execute approved photoshoots
Qualifications
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- 3 years’ experience in a social media or marketing role preferably with a restaurant or hospitality group
- Demonstrable experience in marketing with the potential and attitude required to learn
- Proven experience in identifying target audiences and in creatively devising and leading across channel marketing campaigns that engage, educate, and motivate
- Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing (especially social media) and measurement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- An ability to work under tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Google Suite and MS Office Suite, CRM systems, databases, and marketing automation
