What are the responsibilities and job description for the Life Enrichment Associate, AL position at Maple Knoll Communities?
Maple Knoll Village, a continuing care retirement community, located in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a fulltime Life Enrichment Associate, for Assisted Living. The hours for this position are 1p-8p, Monday through Friday; and 10a-6p every other weekend. The ideal candidate will need to have some flexibility with their schedules as you will be required to work every other weekend, and some holidays, and evenings to accommodate activities. The pay range for this position is $16.00- $18.00 per hour. Pay is based off prior experience.
The Life Enrichment Associate will implement meaningful activity and recreation activities for Assisted Living residents and assist as Resident Care Partner as needed.
The ideal candidate will:
- Attend resident council meetings and work with committees of residents in an advisory and supportive capacity to identify resident and program needs.
- Will assist in planning monthly programs of activities for Assisted Living residents
- Maintain activities area and supplies in a neat and orderly manner.
- Provide guidance and resources to staff on the importance of life enrichment and other areas regarding the quality of life for residents.
- Supports a dignified and caring atmosphere for residents, resident families, visitors, and staff.
- Assists residents as necessary when going to and from Activities.
- Encourage participation through a friendly, and welcoming attitude.
- Lead and assist resident activities as requested.
- Have two years of experience in a social or recreational program.
- Be required to get CPR and First Aid within 60 days of employment.
- Must have compassion for and desire to work with the older population.
- Must be a self-starter and demonstrate the ability to work responsibly & independently as well as a team player.
- Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others.
- Ability to represent the Community in a positive and professional manner.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing, must be able to follow instructions and direction, interact with residents of varying backgrounds and abilities, and remain cheerful and calm under stressful situations.
- Must be able to bend, reach, walk, sit, stand, and push/pull as the position requires.
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Will be required to work within the confines of a set budget.
- Experience working as a patient care provider is preferred.
