What are the responsibilities and job description for the Life Enrichment Associate position at Maple Knoll Communities?
Maple Knoll Communities, a continuing care retirement community, located in Springdale, OH is seeking a full-time and part-time Life Enrichment Associates. The hours for the fulltime position are 10a-6p. Part-time hours are 4p-8p, the ideal candidate will have some flexibility in their schedule to work some days, evenings, every other weekend, and holidays. The pay range for this position is $15.50- $18.00. Pay is based on prior experience.
As a Life Enrichment Associate you will be responsible for leading group activities, independent, and one to one activity; creating flyers and other materials; shopping for supplies; assisting with calendar preparation, and documentation.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have patience and compassion for and desire to work with the older population with varying levels of cognitive and physical abilities.
- Lead group programs and one-to-one programs that promote and empower the creative, physical, spiritual, social, and mental wellbeing of each participant
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident participation, progress, and behavior during activities.
- Works well both independently and as a team (group activities, creating monthly calendar, etc..)
- Encourage participation through a friendly, and welcoming attitude
- Be required to get CPR and first aid within 60 days of employment
- Be detail oriented and possess adaptability, excellent interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Must be able to bend, reach, walk, sit, stand, and push/pull as the position requires.
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
