What are the responsibilities and job description for the RCP, MKV position at Maple Knoll Communities?
Maple Knoll Village, a continuing care retirement community located in Springdale, Ohio, is seeking part-time WEEKEND WARRIORS Resident Care Partners (RCP) to work in our Assisted Living unit. RCP's are needed for both 2nd shift (3p-11p) and 3rd shift (11p-7a). This position will require you to work every weekend and some holidays. The starting pay for this position is $15.50 per hour. Additionally, a $1.00 shift differential for shifts beginning at 3pm. CPR and First Aid certifications are provided on-site.
Primary responsibilities of a Resident Care Partner (RCP) include, but are not limited to:
- Assists residents with dental care, bathing, and nail care.
- Assist residents with dressing/undressing as necessary.
- Maintains bedding and puts extra covers in beds as requested.
- Provides incontinence care as needed throughout the day and night.
- Assists in transporting residents to/from appointments, activity and social functions, chapel, meals, etc.
- Assists with transferring, moving, positioning residents into and out of beds, chairs, showers, wheelchairs, etc.
- Assists residents to walk with or without self-help devices as instructed.
- Document daily log of assistance.
- Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents.
- Respect residents’ confidentiality.
- 1 year of experience working as caregiver, resident aide, or PCA preferred.
- Ensures that the nurse is notified in a timely manner of changes in resident condition, family and/or resident concerns, malfunctioning equipment, material shortages, and other pertinent observations.
- Responds promptly to pendant alarms during scheduled hours. Reports malfunctioning batteries immediately.
