Supervises: None
Purpose:
Work in receiving in the cooler on behalf of Maple Lawn Associates, Inc. (MLA), serving God and Humanity by providing excellent and innovative poultry products for life and health.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Receive incoming eggs from trucks.
• Transfer eggs from farm carts to incubator carts.
• Stack flats.
• Assist Incubator Technicians in setting incubators by pushing racks of eggs to designated locations.
• Load trucks with empty racks and flats.
• Sign off on sets.
• Notify Incubation Manager of any concerns.
• Move full carts of eggs from cooler to incubators. Be physically able to move wheeled carts full of eggs and have an understanding of every safety issue with properly handling carts.
• Follow incubator map to determine which carts to move.
• Disinfect empty carts.
• Utilize proper lockout/tagout procedures to ensure safety for personnel cleaning incubators.
• Assist in cleaning wash bay area at end of day.
Other Responsibilities:
• Communicate well with others on the Incubation team. Know that mistakes happen, but recognize the importance of getting the job done correctly.
• May be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• May be asked to do miscellaneous jobs (for example: cleaning, stacking flats, etc).
• Abide by all related SOP and SWI guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED, or working toward high school diploma; no prior experience or training.
• Ability to be on feet for 7 hours a day.
• Complete support of and willing adherence to Maple Lawn Associates’ mission, vision and core values. Applicant must hold these standards as his/her own.
• Undergo training to understand safety requirements and operating systems of the unloading machines and other machinery.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, safety rules, and correspondence. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate information one-on-one and in small group situations to other employees.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to interpret bar graphs.
