We are looking for a reliable and experienced Yard Dog Driver- CDL Class A to join our team at Maple Leaf Farms. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of our tractor trailers.
Responsibilities:
- Staging and moving tractor trailers for unloading, loading, and transport.
- Performing pre and post operational equipment checks and maintaining logs in compliance with company policies and DOT regulations.
- Organizing trailers within the available space to promote efficiency of daily moves.
- Ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and driving safely in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Filling out daily paperwork with legible penmanship and performing basic functions of a computer.
- Knowing how to properly use scaled for weighing vehicles.
Requirements:
- Valid CDL - Class A.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety protocols.
