Essential Functions:
- Communicates product knowledge, pricing and operational procedures to customer.
- Process orders via fax, phone, email and /or those placed by sales department.
- ability to closely check orders for accuracy
- monitor customer credit status before releasing order to production.
- process credit card charges and obtain authorization prior to release of order to production.
- monitor time-sensitive orders to ensure commitments to customers are met.
- professionally handle customer complaints from incoming call/contact, through resolution.
- initiate contact with inactive accounts in an effort to re-establish business relationship.
- assist in maintenance of customer files.
- Perform other related duties as required if trained or qualified to do.
Job Specifications:
Requires knowledge of standard customer service procedures and telephone etiquette.
Knowledge of basic computer skills is essential.
Skills And Abilities:
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, and problem-solve, in a timely manner.
- Attention to detail and ability to accurately report information.
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in written form, with a variety of individuals and situations, and resolve conflicts as needed.
- Working knowledge of computers, including, but not limited to, word processing, email and spreadsheet software.
- Ability to operate basic office equipment.
- ability to retain and communicate product Knowledge and specifications.
- Knowledge and skills identified or acquired through progressive, related experience in customer service. educational requirements: minimum high school diploma; A two –year degree in Business, or a related field, is helpful. Previous experience in call center environment is a plus.
