What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum Instruction & Assessment position at Maple Run Unified School District?
Maple Run Unified School District is seeking a respected and collaborative leader to be the next Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum Instruction and Assessment. A successful candidate will hold the expertise to provide collaborative ongoing development, improvement, and evaluation of curriculum, instruction, and assessment within the district. A proven track record of planning, developing, and implementing functions related to curriculum, instruction, assessment and staff development is key.
Education and/or Experience:
Master's degree with graduate administrative studies. Three (3) or more years' classroom experience and three (3) or more years’ administrative/supervision of instruction and curriculum experience is required. A valid Vermont teaching license. Director of Curriculum and/or Superintendent endorsement/certification is required.
The Maple Run Unified School District enrolls approximately 2700 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. The school district includes 2 pre-k 8 schools in the St. Albans area, 1 pre-k 8 school in Fairfield, along with BFA and the Northwest Career & Technical Center. We are committed to offering a broad program of studies, including a strong Arts program, with over 60% of our students participating in co-curricular programs. The MRUSD Central Office is located in the quaint city of St. Albans, Vermont, walking distance to everything you need. Burlington and Montreal are only a short drive away, and Lake Champlain is our backyard playground.
