Mission Coach 
MSBC is looking for a Mission Coach to join our Family and meet the needs of our rapid growth! This role is responsible for leading the execution of exceptional business standards regarding guest experience, operations, talent development, and financial performance through the lens of Maple Street’s Core Principles. The Mission Coach is the ‘hospitality driver,’ retention owner and source of inspiration for the team. The Mission Coach is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with our partners, team members, management teams and Family Support (Corporate) instilling the appropriate blend of servant leadership and business philosophies to deliver unparalleled guest experiences. 
 
Internal and External Guest Focus 
  • Identifies and shapes strategic initiatives to improve the service to our internal and external guests alike
  • Ensures an understanding of Family Support and guest needs is incorporated into strategic thinking and planning
  • Leads development of new concepts, services, and experiences within their area of management
  • Monitors the local marketplace to identify and support opportunities for new business and threats
Developing Winning Teams
 
  • Empowers, challenges, and supports Community Leaders to lead their teams
  • Coaches and mentors, the location talent
  • Plans and manages talent resources to support growth
  • Plans and manages talent resources to support normal business levels and growth; This includes both salaried and hourly team members
  • Ensures objective and pro-active talent and succession planning activity
  • Drives cross-function team working to build understanding and remove silos
  • Maintains a positive, winning spirit and role models personal resilience
Building Strong Relationships
 
  • Builds strategic networks with key internal and external partners to add value to the business
  • Develops influencing strategies which take account of the need for Community and Financial dynamics
  • Demonstrates personal gravitas in partnering with senior Family Support team members as well as other Mission Coaches
  • Acts as a role model for open, honest, and effective communication
Seeing the Bigger Picture
 
  • Broad and detailed understanding of the Company’s strategy
  • Identifies medium- and long-term trends which will shape strategy within their area of management
  • Leads the Community Leaders within their area to think broadly and flexibly about the strategic opportunities and challenges facing the business
  • Shows the confidence and courage to challenge and influence wider business strategy
  • Articulates a clear vision of ‘where we are going’ to build understanding and support
  • Empowers their Community Leaders to monitor progress against strategy and take appropriate corrective action where needed
Innovating and Improving
 
  • Interprets and analyzes a range of business information, in partnership with our analytics team and finance team, to identify strategic opportunities for improvement/growth
  • Manages the load on the business by prioritizing change and cutting out unnecessary activity
  • Uses an in depth understanding of change management to deliver major change projects
  • Leads activities with their Community Leaders to share innovative ideas with Family Support
Delivering Results
 
  • Develops understanding of performance metrics for their management area
  • Utilizes data and analytics to evaluate business opportunities and risks within their management area
  • Understands the business model we operate within
  • Makes sound decisions, which recognize a range of complex factors and ambiguities
  • Holds team accountable for delivering on performance metrics
Requirements
 
  • A minimum of 5 years Multi-Unit Management experience for external candidates or a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role within Maple Street Biscuit Company
  • Experience managing a tight margin operation
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team
  • Budgeting, forecasting, sales experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations
  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
  • Ability to maintain structure, results, and morale in a changing environment
  • Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership
  • Ability to talk and hear to conduct phone correspondence
  • Close vision and focus capabilities to view computer screen and company documents
  • Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds at times
  • Ability to be on feet for up to eight (8) hours a day
  • Ability to work around loud noises and in a fast-paced environment
 Internal Candidate Requirements
 
  • Community Leader for at least 1 year
  • History of executing Maple Street’s Core Principles
  • Possess the ability to develop leaders within the company 
  • History of being a consistently high performer of sustainable business (hitting COG’s, Labor, EBITDA targets)
  • Proven record of growing sales 
  • Candidate must live or be willing to relocate within the Gulf Coast Region

 

Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
