What are the responsibilities and job description for the PT Cook/Dietary Aide position at Maple View Memory Care?
- Prepares foods using the established daily menu and present them in an attractive and palliative manner.
- Checks menu for the following day to assure ingredients are prepped/available.
- Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe kitchen environment.
- Documents all food temperatures at all mealtimes.
- Documents temperatures taken on all coolers, freezers, dishwasher, and sanitizer on a daily basis.
- Receives deliveries and invoices.
- Readies needed supplies for special events and activities.
- Assists in maintaining inventory. Proper stock rotation (FIFO - First in, first out).
- Ensures proper handling, labeling, dating, and storage of opened food.
- Alters recipes to accommodate special dietary needs of residents and to improve recipes while adhering to nutritional value standards.
- Stores food properly.
- Prepares drinks and silverware before every meal.
- Serves food.
- Bus tables, sweeps, and sanitizes tables/great room after all meals and snacks.
- Washes, sorts, and sanitizes dishes and puts them away.
- Cleans equipment, appliances, floors, drains, storage areas, refrigerators, freezers, and sinks on a reoccurring basis.
- Prepares food and preps food a day ahead.
Previous dietary experience is preferred. Applicant must have a passion for working with the elderly population.
This position requires every other weekend and holiday.
