Job Summary :
The Service Adviser reports directly to the Service Director, with additional responsibilities to work with service and warranty managers. This role is vital to the success of this bustling, nationally-acclaimed and award-winning automotive dealership in Northern New Jersey, working with Ford and Lincoln vehicles, and Ford Trucks.
The successful candidate must demonstrate an ability to multi-task by handling and processing documents while serving a variety of customers, all within a team-oriented environment.
Job Accountabilities (include but are not limited to) :
Overall
- Serve as liaison between customers and technicians
- Clearly communicate all vehicle symptoms as described by customer
- Determine and recommend needed maintenance based on age, mileage and history of vehicle
- Provide a complete and accurate estimate of costs for labor and parts
- Monitor the progress of each vehicle and communicate with customers by providing updates and status throughout the day
- Process repair orders
- Review al completed work and charges to customers
- Follow-up with customers post-service when customers have questions and / or concerns
