The Compliance Analyst is a critical member of MapleMark’s Bank's Risk and Compliance Department. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and experienced in Bank Regulatory Compliance. The analyst will work closely with the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) to ensure the bank's adherence to regulatory standards and compliance requirements and is critical in maintaining the bank's integrity, fostering community engagement, and promoting financial literacy.
Essential Job Functions
- Assist the Chief Compliance Officer in fulfilling compliance obligations, including the administration of regulatory requirements.
- Administer the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) and reporting.
- Perform and report results of internal regulatory audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Administer training programs related to regulatory compliance for bank staff.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Assist in managing Section 1071 compliance, ensuring fair lending practices.
- Ensure adherence to the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) by fostering community partnerships and maintaining CRA records.
- Participate in community outreach programs to promote financial literacy and enhance the bank’s presence within the community.
- Monitor and test the company’s products and services to ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
- Document monitoring, testing, and auditing work performed as well as any findings.
- Design, revise, and implement compliance monitoring protocols.
- Research regulations by reviewing regulatory bulletins and other sources of information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in banking, with regulatory compliance experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of federal banking regulations and community banking operations.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Excel.
