Overall Description:
The Camp Counselor facilitates daytime camp activities in specified age groups, ensures that children attending camp are safe and engaged, and ensures that the facility is kept clean and organized. The Camp Counselor is responsible for always knowing the whereabouts of each camper in their specified group. The Camp Counselor will engage children in group activities and will address the individual needs of each child as well. The Camp Counselor is responsible to clean up the areas used by their group of children, and to ensure that each child is safely checked in and checked out of the camp. The Camp Counselor is integral to the smooth operations of the day camp.

Responsibilities
- Interact with and supervise all children in a specified age group;
- Accompany children to all group activities;
- Know the medical and emotional needs of the children in their specified age group.
- Maintain communication with the Camp Director and Assistant Camp Director throughout the workday.
- Engage in program activities with the children; assure that all children have access to the activities.
- Monitor campers' behaviors in accordance with camp rules and regulations;
- Report issues about behaviors and other problems to the Camp Director. Complete incident reports as needed;
- Encourage children to participate in activities and assist them as needed;
- Observe and maintain alertness for illness, injury and report immediately to Camp Director
- Perform other duties as assigned
- The Camp Counselor is supervised by the Camp Director and Assistant Camp Director.
- High School student (Junior/Senior) or graduate;
- Must be at least 17 years of age;
- Must have counselor experience working with children;
- Must be able to work effectively and productively as part of a team;
- Must demonstrate the ability to supervise and care for children;
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills;
- Willing to learn the policies and procedures of the company;
- Must be able to assist in enforcement of company rules and regulations;
- Must be willing to participate in all required activities including open houses, training, orientation, and close-out meetings;
- Must be willing and able to work the full camp season: 6/23/25 – 8/29/25.
