POSITION BREAKDOWN:
Position to include approximately 200 contracted days; including 10 paid holidays. Starting 8 hours per day scheduled custodian at the High School with scheduled hours anticipated to be outside of school hours, but will reduce custodial hours and fill in as needed for bus drivers, with a shift to a regular route when one becomes available with 4 hour bus driver/4 hour custodial.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant must have or be able to obtain a commercial driver’s license, pass a school bus driving test, and pass a school bus driver’s physical examination. The district will provide training.
Applicant is subject to and must pass pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Bus driver is responsible for transporting assigned students in a safe manner in accordance with the procedures prescribed by the district and mandated by state and federal law.
Bus driver must perform “pre-trip checklists” before each route or trip begins.
Custodian will clean classrooms, hallways, walkways, bathrooms, and other areas as assigned.
Custodian shall set up platforms, bleachers, tables, and other equipment as needed.
Under supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor the custodian will repair plumbing, painting, woodwork, landscaping, and other capital improvement projects.
Custodian will maintain a safe environment (assigned building and/or grounds) for students and district employees.
Work cooperatively with other district employees, parents/guardians, students, and patrons.
Report building /bus damage and needed repairs to Transportation/Maintenance Supervisor.
Other duties as assigned by Transportation/Maintenance Supervisor.
