QUALIFICATIONS:
- Colorado teaching license with appropriate CTE Engineering and Technology endorsement. Candidates may qualify through a combination of military service, industry credentials, relevant work experience, or a willingness to complete Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Engineering Core Training.
- Preferred: Additional endorsement in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education or a willingness to pursue the endorsement or equivalent coursework.
- Strong Understanding of Colorado Academic Standards – Demonstrated ability to align instruction, curriculum, and assessment with state standards to ensure student success.
- Commitment to Professional Growth – A reflective practitioner with a passion for continuous learning, professional development, and seeking out innovative teaching strategies.
- Data-Driven Instruction – Proficiency in using multiple formative and summative assessments to inform instruction, create flexible student groupings, and provide targeted, differentiated support.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS:
- Innovative Engineering Instruction – Design and deliver engaging, hands-on instruction that integrates inquiry, problem-solving, and the engineering design process across courses such as Robotics, Digital Electronics, DC/AC Electricity, Electronics, and other CTE Engineering and Technology pathway subjects.
- Passion for Learning and Adaptability – While prior experience teaching these courses is not required, the successful candidate will demonstrate a strong motivation to learn, practice, and contribute to curriculum development. A background or strong interest in design thinking, fabrication technologies, coding, and makerspace practices is essential.
- Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) Leadership – Manage and support student participation in CTSOs such as competitive robotics and engineering projects. This may involve paid work outside the regular school day to facilitate student engagement in competitions and extracurricular activities.
- Curriculum Development and Collaboration – Actively participate in curriculum design and improvement, integrating innovative teaching strategies, real-world applications, and cross-disciplinary connections to enhance student learning.
- Student-Centered Lesson Planning – Develop and implement structured lesson plans that ensure instructional pacing supports deep learning, fosters critical thinking, engages all students, and promotes smooth classroom management.
- Standards-Based Instruction – Provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to meet or exceed the Grade Level Expectations outlined in the Colorado Academic Standards, using clearly defined learning outcomes, authentic tasks, and high expectations for student success.
- Communication and Feedback – Maintain open and transparent communication with students, parents, and stakeholders regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for growth.
- Professional Collaboration and Interdisciplinary Planning – Work closely with colleagues across content areas to integrate STEM principles, share best practices, and continuously improve instructional methods through collaborative planning and professional learning communities.
- Commitment to Professional Growth – Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities, staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in STEM education.
- Fostering a Positive Learning Environment – Model and instill a growth mindset, perseverance, and a supportive classroom culture where students feel encouraged to take risks, solve complex problems, and develop resilience in the face of challenges.
