Job Summary
The Resident Services Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse) plays a vital role in assisting the Resident Services Director with the implementation, delivery, and coordination of Resident Care Services at our Community. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our residents and their families.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Care and Service to Residents: Provide high-quality care and services to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Health Promotion: Develop and implement health promotion programs to support the overall well-being of our residents.
Participation in Assessments: Participate in assessments under the supervision of the Resident Services Director (RN), ensuring accurate and comprehensive evaluations of our residents' needs.
Support of Residents and Families: Offer emotional support and guidance to our residents and their families, providing reassurance and comfort during challenging times.
Oversight of Certified Nursing Assistants: Supervise and mentor Certified Nursing Assistants, ensuring they provide exceptional care and support to our residents.
Training and Auditing: Conduct regular training sessions and audits to ensure that our associates are providing high-quality care and adhering to our standards.
Professional Development: Complete monthly in-service training as required, staying up-to-date on the latest developments and best practices in gerontological nursing.
Requirements
Experience: Two years of full-time or full-time equivalent clinical experience, preferably working with older adults.
Skills and Qualities: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers, and other staff members.
Physical and Emotional Health: In good physical and emotional health, free of communicable diseases.
