Director of Resident Engagement and Experience
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Director of Resident Engagement and Experience to lead our team at Maplewood Brewster LLC.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in recreation, occupational therapy, or gerontology, with a passion for improving the quality of life for seniors. As a key member of our department head team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-quality monthly program calendars tailored to residents' abilities, interests, hobbies, religions, and desired experiences.
You will ensure that all programs, events, and activities align with Maplewood's 9 Lifestyle Elements, foster a seven-day-a-week activity program, including evenings and holidays, and collaborate with other Directors to ensure the recreational and social needs of all residents are addressed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement high-quality monthly program calendars tailored to residents' abilities, interests, hobbies, religions, and desired experiences.
- Evaluate resident interests and concerns to develop meaningful relationships.
- Foster a seven-day-a-week activity program, including evenings and holidays.
- Collaborate with other Directors to ensure the recreational and social needs of all residents are addressed.
Requirements:
- An associate degree from an accredited college or university or satisfactory completion of two years of college, with major work in recreation, occupational therapy, gerontology, or a related field.
- Two years of full-time experience in the recreation field with an adult population.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Basic typing skills and computer knowledge; familiarity with MS Word, Excel, Publisher, Teams, and creative software.
Salary:
$65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience.
