Purpose of Your Position:
The primary purpose of your position as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is to provide routine daily nursing care to your assigned residents in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our facility. You will work under the direction of the licensed staff charge nurse to ensure high-quality care.

Working Conditions:
- Works throughout the nursing service area (nurse stations, resident rooms, etc.).
- Requires sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and moving intermittently during working hours.
- Subject to frequent interruptions and the need to handle emergencies.
- Interacts with residents, personnel, and visitors under various conditions and circumstances.
- May encounter emotionally upset residents, family members, and visitors, requiring a calm and professional demeanor.
- Communicates with nursing staff and other department supervisors as needed.
- Works beyond normal hours, including weekends and holidays, as necessary. Scheduled hours may change based on facility needs.
- Attends and participates in ongoing educational programs to maintain certification and improve skills.
- Exposed to hazards such as falls, burns from equipment, odors, chemicals, and infectious waste, diseases, and other health risks inherent in healthcare settings.
- Must be a Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing.
- General work experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
