- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary.
- Select and mix paints and other materials according to specifications.
- Apply paint using brushes, rollers, sprayers, or other methods, ensuring smooth and even coverage.
- Execute painting tasks with attention to detail and adherence to quality standards.
- Work independently on smaller painting projects or assist senior painters on larger projects.
- Coordinate with other trades and team members to ensure efficient project completion.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of painting materials and equipment.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project status, issues, and any additional support needed.
- Assist in training and mentoring Painter Level 1 employees, providing guidance and support as needed.
- High school diploma or GED
- Must possess be a US Person
- Previous experience as a Painter Level 1 or equivalent training in painting techniques and materials.
- Proficiency in surface preparation, paint application, and finishing techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform painting tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of safety practices and procedures in a construction or painting environment.
- Willingness to continue learning and develop advanced painting skills.
As a Painter Level II, you will be responsible for executing painting tasks with moderate supervision. Building on your foundational skills and knowledge gained as a Painter Level 1, you will take on more independent responsibilities while continuing to work collaboratively with senior painters and other team members.
