Maps Credit Union seeks an experienced Wealth Operations Manager to assist the SVP, Head of Wealth in managing the daily operations, compliance procedures and tracking the overall performance of our growing Wealth teams, which include Private Client and Maps Investments. This position supervises two Wealth operations team members and provides operational oversight for the Financial Advisor team. Additionally, the Wealth Operations Manager performs the duties of a Registered Client Service Associate for Maps Investments, which is a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC.
You may be the ideal candidate for this position if you have at least five years of progressive client service and operations experience in a wealth or investment advisory setting, and you are organized, efficient, and excel at juggling multiple priorities throughout the day.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervise the Wealth operations staff, which includes a Client Service Associate and Private Client Officer. Oversee training and address performance issues by providing staff with clear and constructive feedback and coaching. Conduct regular one-on-ones and performance appraisals.
- Provide operational oversight of the Financial Advisors and operations staff, including but not limited to, processing timecards, time off requests, and helping manage schedules. Coordinate internal calendars and appointments to effectively manage team coverage.
- Ensure relevant compliance standards and related policies and procedures are met and maintained, including completing required reporting. Keep Wealth teams informed of changes in regulations. Serve as the point of contact for escalated compliance concerns.
- Create and send communications for department updates to Private Client and Maps Investments teams, as well as external Credit Union partners, branches, and departments.
- Administer the Maps Investments monthly referral and incentive program by tracking results, running reports, and ensuring accuracy.
- Pull reports as needed from multiple sources and compile information to present to the SVP, Head of Wealth.
- Coordinate and complete revenue-producing projects required by the broker-dealer.
- Implement strategies concerning external and internal promotions of the Wealth teams in order to facilitate appointments and cross-sales of services and products.
- Work with marketing, educational event sponsors, and the broker-dealer to schedule and participate in various on and off-site trade shows, training sessions, events, and seminars. Present at member educational seminars as requested.
- Provide exceptional service by answering member inquiries, providing pre-appointment consultations, scheduling appointments, and discussing specific investment products. Serve as lead on member-related service experience issues, triaging and de-escalating as needed.
- Work independently with members regarding investment trade orders and execute security transactions.
- Daily check of client account activity reporting involving incoming and outgoing cash and securities.
- Assist in reviewing quarterly statements and preparing quarterly client review meetings.
- Maintain organization of paperwork and information by working closely with Financial Advisors to provide administrative and clerical support, including completing forms, maintaining accurate and complete information records and documentation of member interactions, and sending follow-up information and letters to members/vendors.
- Collect and analyze member information such as income, assets, debts, etc. Research suitable products to best fit the members’ needs.
- Provide administrative support for the Wealth teams by typing, faxing, filing, and mailing correspondence and assisting with other project support as requested. Create and update spreadsheets/reports.
- Operate and represent Maps Investments and Private Client with the highest level of integrity and ethics.

Requirements
- 5 plus years of progressive client service and operations experience in a wealth or investment advisory setting with demonstrated progressive responsibilities.
- 2 plus years of supervisory or lead experience is preferred.
- NASD Series 6 or 7 and 63 or 66 licenses. (Unlicensed or partially licensed applicants must obtain their licenses within 180 days of hire with employer support.)
- Life and Health Insurance Licenses (Oregon). (Unlicensed or partially licensed applicants must obtain their licenses within 180 days of hire with employer support.)
- Clean FINRA record (Applicants with discrepancies may need to provide a letter of explanation.)
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be bondable.
Starting Exempt Salary Range: $90,000 - $108,000 per year, depending on experience.
Typical Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM.
