MAPS Staffing is seeking dedicated and experienced Special Education Teachers to join our team for the 2024 / 2025 school year. We have exciting opportunities across the Greater Phoenix Area of Arizona, serving various school districts at the Elementary, Middle, and High School levels. Classroom assignments and caseloads will align with your expertise and will be discussed in detail during the application process.

Compensation :

  • Hourly : $55–$62 / hour.
  • Annual : $80,000–$95,000.

    • Position Requirements :

    To qualify, you’ll need :

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from an accredited institution.
  • A valid Arizona teaching certificate with a Special Education Endorsement.
  • A current Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Knowledge of core academic subjects, curriculum planning, and behavior management.
  • Preferred : At least one year of experience working with students with disabilities.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to manage classroom needs, including occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.

    • Key Responsibilities :

    As a Special Education Teacher, your duties will include :

  • Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans based on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Adapting curriculum to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Creating a positive, safe, and structured learning environment.
  • Regularly communicating with parents to share progress and collaborate on strategies for success.
  • Managing classroom behavior effectively to foster a productive atmosphere.
  • Assessing student progress and making necessary instructional adjustments.
  • Collaborating with other educators and specialists to ensure the success of each student.
  • Maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal special education regulations.

    • Job Details :

  • Contract Position : Remainder of the 2024 / 2025 school year.
  • Schedule : 37.5–40 hours per week, aligned with the academic district calendar.
  • Caseload : Details vary by school and will be provided upon application.
