The IT Manager will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of IT operations, ensuring that employees have access to the tools, support, and infrastructure needed to perform at their best. This role oversees the help desk team, IT specialists, and third-party vendors, with a strong focus on delivering reliable technology solutions, maintaining robust infrastructure, and driving innovation. A key priority is ensuring staff support requests are handled promptly and effectively, fostering a responsive and supportive tech environment.
Key Responsibilities
IT Support & Service Delivery
- Ensure support tickets are prioritized and resolved efficiently, maintaining a high standard of service and responsiveness.
- Develop and implement systems to monitor, report, and improve support performance and ticket resolution times.
Infrastructure Management
- Lead the management of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, Wi-Fi systems, and endpoint devices, ensuring consistent performance and uptime.
- Optimize Unifi Wi-Fi systems to deliver reliable and secure connectivity across all organizational locations.
- Oversee Fortinet security solutions including firewalls, VPNs, and monitoring tools to protect network integrity.
- Manage Apple-based environments, including macOS, iOS, Apple Business Manager, and mobile device management (MDM) platforms.
Team & Vendor Oversight
- Provide leadership and guidance to the help desk and IT staff, cultivating a high-performance, service-focused team.
- Manage external vendors and service providers to ensure alignment with service level agreements and organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with departments across the organization to develop and implement effective IT solutions.
Strategic Planning & Innovation
- Develop and manage the IT budget, making data-driven decisions to support strategic growth.
- Identify and implement opportunities for automation, system improvements, and technological innovation.
Security & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with data security standards and privacy regulations.
- Manage antivirus and endpoint security tools, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
Operational Excellence
- Continuously monitor system performance and proactively resolve potential issues.
- Maintain comprehensive disaster recovery and data backup strategies to ensure business continuity.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline—or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years in an IT leadership or management role, in an infrastructure and staff support environment
- Hands-on experience with various tecchnologies that include Fortinet products, Unifi Wi-Fi systems, and Apple IT environments.
- Lead IT teams effectively.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and endpoint protection.
