Job Description Deliver physical therapy services through evaluation of patient needs, goal determination, and development of treatment plans according to the principles and practices of physical therapy.Principal Responsibilities and TasksPerforms direct physical therapy services to patients in accordance with generally accepted physical therapy standards, State of Maryland Physical Therapy Practice Act, code of ethics, and departmental procedures.Records patient evaluations, re-evaluations and care provided in the medical record, in accordance with departmental documentation standards.Participates in performance improvement activities and suggests areas for improvement to colleagues in a tactful and considerate manner. Proposes performance improvement topics and alternate treatment techniques to improve physical therapy services.Assumes responsibility to resolve or report clinical and operational issues to department leadership for resolution, to assure high quality care, and efficient departmental operations.Demonstrates interdisciplinary, safe, patient-centered care and delivers excellent customer service.Company Description The University Of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is located in La Plata, Maryland. The hospital has approximately 110 beds and approximately 260,000 sq. ft. of space. There are five Operating Rooms, approximately 41 Exam / Treatment rooms in the Emergency Department, a Wound Care Center, and Infusion Center located within the hospital campus. CRMC also operates Medical Practices, including an Endoscopy Center and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center that are located off-site, all within an approximate five-mile radius of the main hospital campus.Qualifications Bachelor's degree required.
