What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Mar-Bal?
Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment and facility failures
- Maintain machine and facility preventative maintenance schedule
- Report and correct safety issues as directed
- Perform facility grounds maintenance, as needed
- Update, rebuild and relocate equipment
- Look for and suggest ways to improve equipment and processes
- Work in a safety conscious manner
- Maintain good housekeeping
- Must be able to lift, push or pull 70 lbs
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
- Successfully demonstrated skills of general maintenance technician
- Strong background in electrical troubleshooting and repair (machine and facility)
- PLC experience with ability to troubleshoot issues as well as make programming changes
- Ability to communicate effectively (Phone, email, etc...) to other maintenance techs, as well as plant management and vendors
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic system
