About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Team Member to join our facilities operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining all building-related systems and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preventative maintenance and complete report work orders to maintain the hotel's high standards.
- Perform routine checks on electrical systems, including air conditioning controls, television sets, and lighting systems, and make minor repairs as needed.
- Assist in checking and making routine repairs to all hotel equipment, including small appliances, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, boilers, pool equipment, HVAC, hand and power tools, and general plumbing systems and fixtures.
- Service the hotel's pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters, completing maintenance request forms, and recording logs.
- Maintain the building exterior and curb appeal, including snow removal, lawn care, painting, and gardening.
- Refurbish furniture and fixtures within guest rooms, including cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and counters, and paint and finish as needed.
- Respond in a courteous manner to all guest questions, complaints, and requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Vocational schooling, military training, certification, and/or experience in building-related trades required in one or more areas: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Carpentry.
- Hotel experience preferred.
- Climbing, reading, standing, walking, and routinely lifting 25 lbs to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to receive instructions and communicate progress of work assignments.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
