We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Interventional Radiology Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures. This role involves patient preparation, monitoring during procedures, and post-procedure care, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and comfort. Candidates with ICU or ER experience are highly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures, including obtaining patient history, explaining procedures, and ensuring informed consent.
- Assist interventional radiologists during procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and comfort during procedures, responding promptly to any changes or emergencies.
- Provide post-procedure care, including monitoring for complications, providing discharge instructions, and ensuring patient understanding of follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting all aspects of patient care and procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about procedures, expected outcomes, and aftercare.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards, maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in OKC
- BSN preferred; ASN with relevant experience considered.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in interventional radiology, ICU, or ER.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to handle complex and emergency situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and support patients and their families.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move patients and equipment as needed.
- Manual dexterity to operate medical equipment and perform clinical tasks
