The Digital Communications Manager is a member of the Office of Public Relations and reports to the Director of Public Relations and Community Engagement. The position is responsible for managing and maintaining the District's integrated communications enterprise system through Finalsite, which includes district website, all school websites and newsletters. Additionally, the position manages user permissions and provides guidance and regular training to web editors. The position is responsible for overseeing the district brand, including providing basic graphic design for advertising and other communication needs.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitates and coordinates content management creation for site contributors by providing the tools and training necessary for sites / departments to self-manage and maintain content on their sections of the website
- Assists the Director of PR in maintaining the district brand in print and online platforms
- Posts District news, awards, events and updates to website
- Builds, designs, manages, and updates responsive website(s), uploading content to increase digital presence online while ensuring compatibility across devices and compliance with ADA
- Manages and administers website permissions
- Management of Meta Business Suite and Google Brand Account for social media and participation in LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and other platforms.
- Provides graphic design layout and updates for district materials including print and online advertisements, website imagery, posters, banners, brochures, annual publications and other district program branding
- Maintains Google Developer, Search Console, Analytics, Google for Business school and district listings
- Uses analytics to track traffic to the website and communicate results
- Maintain and update website social media feeds.
- Liaises with the IT Department to ensure departmental and project alignment, efficiency and accessibility where systems overlap
- Publishes District communications targeted for specific audiences including staff, parents / families, the community, etc
- Audits website(s) to ensure best practices, content accuracy, and compliance requirements are followed district-wide
- Performs other duties as assigned
