ASAP POSITION SUMMARY
Plans, coordinates, and manages the operations and activities of the Marana School District's Transportation Vehicle Maintenance and Procurement sections; supervises and participates in vehicle maintenance activities; monitors and maintains parts warehouse inventory; coordinates with vendors and external service providers; and supervises assigned personnel.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages and coordinates the Department's day-to-day garage operations and procurement activities.
- Monitors and ensures the District's school buses are properly maintained in safe working condition.
- Develops, implements, and administers transportation policies and procedures for areas of assignment; initiates changes necessary to improve customer service and operational efficiency.
- Hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates the performance of assigned personnel; ensures staff compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and safety practices.
- Supervises and participates in vehicle maintenance and repair activities; assigns work tasks and / or projects to staff; monitors progress and quality of work performed.
- Oversees parts warehouse operations including inventory management and purchasing.
- Communicates with vendors regarding the purchasing of parts and supplies and / or the quality of service provided.
- Participates in administering assigned budget and monitoring expenditure.
- Prepares and maintains a variety of departmental records, reports, and documentation.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.

High School Diploma or equivalent, and five years experience managing garage operations; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

61,426.00 - 66,431.00 (Prorated based on hire date)
