MARANATHA'S PURPOSE
To glorify God by introducing people to Jesus as Savior, training them in Christian living, and sending them out to represent Christ to the world. Motto: Get away, quiet down, hear God speak, make life-changing decisions.
JOB PURPOSE
To serve guests and staff as a part of this positive environment we create, called Maranatha Camp. As a result, many will hear God speak and make decisions about salvation, discipleship and Christian service.
JOB SUMMARY
To pursue, intake, and coordinate arrangements with Guest Groups up to the point of their arrival by means of excellent communication, persistence, and follow-through with both the Guest Group Contact and Maranatha Staff members. Provides all necessary and relevant details to the on-site group host. Follows-up with groups after their stay with evaluations, and pursues retention for future reservations.

Associate Director, also with oversight and support from the Finance Manager in areas of financials
GUEST SERVICES RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote and recruit new guests and groups to Maranatha, with an emphasis on non-summer months
- Receive and promptly respond to phone and email requests from guests and staff
- Skillfully pursue any leads on potential/repeat Guest Group customers
- Once engaged with a customer, moves arrangement forward politely and persistently
- Proactively communicate to nail down details and specifics
- Know and make use of camp’s features and boundaries when dealing with Guest Groups
- Record all information and notes from communication promptly during or after receipt
- Utilize pricing worksheets to give quotes to guests, as well as to take deposits, with financial oversight
- Maintain information taken in using camp documents: master schedules, housing charts, calendars, etc.
- Communicate with camp leadership team on guest group specifics, including any special requests
- Establish clear information requirements and deadlines for Guest Groups, such as schedule, headcount, special diets, audiovisual requirements, conference space setup requirements, etc.
- Maintain a welcoming and open atmosphere for communication with guests and staff
- Provide written and verbal guest group briefings to hosts, including instructions on taking final payments
- Follow up with guests by sending surveys, rebooking information, and thank you emails
- Follow up with staff using reports with feedback from the Guest Groups
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Occasionally sub-in as a guest group host, if available
- There is opportunity to serve in other areas if you are available, especially during summer

QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires someone exhibiting organizational skills and a desire to develop in leadership. This individual must be approachable, self-starting, teachable, organized, and high-energy. He or she must have a heart sold out to Christ, a desire to see others grow in their walk with the Lord, and a willingness to learn new techniques working with various generations, groups, and backgrounds. This person must also have the ability to minister to others by serving customers excellently, not detracting from the Maranatha’s witness to the Gospel, while maintaining a growing spiritual life before the Lord. This individual must be able to work within the policies of Maranatha Bible Camp, and use their gifts and individual creativity to carry out the responsibilities of the organization. This person must have the ability to plan ahead and be prepared for the many different groups that use Maranatha’s facilities.
REQUIREMENTS
- Pass application, interview process, and background check
- Complete initial check-in meeting for orientation and paperwork (I-9 and W4)
- Availability to respond to inquiries consistently within 48 hrs

For the purpose of the agreement, the following benefits are restated: hourly wage, food if ever working at an event with a meal included in the program
