Marathon is seeking an experienced Insurance Client Coverage Professional on our Institutional Client Solutions team to drive capital formation and strengthen relationships with Insurance Clients.

Responsibilities
- The primary responsibility will be capital formation and business development of Insurance Clients. This professional will further develop Marathon’s existing and prospective Insurance Clients and closely collaborate with the broader client solutions and marketing team, portfolio managers and senior management of the firm to deliver on our full capabilities of our global credit platform to meet client needs.
- Utilizing deep Insurance asset management expertise to help Insurance Clients meet their key investment objectives within pre-defined capital, risk, ALM and yield constraints.
- In-depth knowledge on the Public Credit and Private Credit markets across Direct Lending, Asset Based Lending, and Opportunistic Credit.
- Professionally present Marathon’s investment strategies, fund offerings and managed accounts.
- Provide insight into strategy trends, competitive landscape and Marathon’s differentiated approach.
- This candidate will have support from our dedicated marketing team whose responsibility is to coordinate due diligence requests (i.e. DDQs, RFPs, RFIs) under your guidance.
- Closely collaborate with Marathon’s senior investment professionals to deliver the full capabilities of Marathon’s global credit platform to meet client needs.
- Actively track activities, client dialogue/pipeline and maintain contact information in CRM system to organize fundraising processes. Anticipating and owning coordination of responses around bespoke Insurance Client inquiries.
Qualifications
- 10 years of experience covering Insurance Clients.
- Strong capital markets knowledge, product knowledge within the insurance market including a comprehensive understanding of insurance capital and regulatory requirements.
- Deep knowledge covering of public and private credit market.
- Experience presenting to Institutional Investment Committees for capital formation.
- Exceptional relationship building, communication, and presentation skills.
- Desire to work in a dynamic results oriented environment with a proactive approach.
- Work on-site in our NY office and travel required to meet clients and attend conferences.
The salary range, exclusive of bonus or benefits, which are above and beyond the base pay for this role is $250,000-$300,000 in base pay. Base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, location, skills, training, certifications, and education, and in addition we will also consider internal equity and market data. We do not anticipate that candidates hired will begin at the top of the range however, from time to time, it may occur on a case-by-case basis.
