POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for monitoring and processing all items related to the checking/ACH operations of the bank.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Monitoring and addressing all non-post, stop pays, and NSF items.

2. Debit card matters including but not limited to ordering debit cards, maintenance, lost or stolen cards and pin reorders.

3. Balancing ACH transactions.

4. Represent the bank in a manner that maintains and expands positive relations with all customers, potential customers and co-workers.

5. Perform as a team member.

6. Answers and resolves customer inquiries and questions by clarifying desired information, researching, locating and providing information.

7. Escalates unresolved customer problems to the department manager.

8. Responsible for monitoring and handling checking account exceptions, including new accounts.

9. Follow procedures for each process associated with checking accounts, debit cards and ACH.

10. Maintain support logs of ACH calls.

11. Maintain the confidentiality of the Bank’s customers.

12. Remain current on and adhere to all regulatory requirements and training.

13. Reviews daily, weekly and monthly system reports.

14. Perform all other duties as assigned.

15. Responsible for safeguarding sensitive customer information from cyber and other threats by following the Acceptable Use Policy and Code of Conduct/Ethics Policy.

16. Responsible for upholding the security and confidentiality of nonpublic personal information that is obtained from customers by following the Banks Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) Policy.

SECONDARY DUTIES:

1. Ordering customer checks.

2. E-Banking, Cash Management duties.

3. CSR/New Accounts when needed.

4. Explain new products and features to customers.

5. Sells additional services by recognizing opportunities to up-sell accounts.

6. Open and close the bank.

7. Working knowledge of job applicable regulations and timely completion of required compliance training as assigned by the bank.

8. Perform other duties as may be assigned by Management.

· Customer Service team/Bookkeeping team/E- Banking Team

ROLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

Experience

· 6 months prior office or banking experience preferred.

Other Skills & Abilities

· Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

· Ability to work with customers over the phone.

· Sets strong ethical standards with integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness in all professional relationships.

· Competence with computers and 10-key calculator.

· Personal computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.

· Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work.

· Strategizes and collaborates with team members.

Performance Measures

· Compliance with all regulatory requirements.

· Accuracy with customer transactions.

· Effectiveness of communication and development of effective working relationships with co-workers, community and customers.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed largely within the Bank with limited chance for personal injury. Prolonged and frequent mental and visual concentration required. Periodic stressful situations in response to multiple priorities within established deadlines. Work hours are generally during normal business hours including Saturday mornings. Unscheduled morning, evening and additional weekend work maybe needed to meet the needs of customers and employees. May be required to use personal cell phone for multi-factor authentication.
