The Sourced Product Business is part of Marathon Electric, responsible for providing finished goods that are not manufactured at one of our North American plants. This includes product sourced with external suppliers or product manufactured at one of our facilities in Asia. The team is also responsible for managing the Service Part offering and fulfillment for both motors and generators. We are looking for a Global Category Manager Expert to join our team.
Material Planner I
Position Summary:
The Material Planner I you will be responsible for providing shop floor paperwork, maintaining inventory accuracy, MRO purchasing, and being a key team player for the Materials Department.
Major Responsibilities:

Responsible for creating MRO purchase orders.

Manage expedite requests with suppliers.

Responsible for VMI machines and partnering with suppliers on issues.

Responsible for assembly of daily shop travelers.

Use our ERP system, Oracle, to accurately transact inventory movements.

Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient on-hand quantities.

Partner with Production Scheduler to review daily missed scans.

Review Bill of Materials and routings for accuracy.
-
Review negative inventory daily.

Monitor material rejects and disposition in timely manner.

Perform inventory adjustments.
-
Act as back up for Buyer when needed.

May be assigned responsibility for additional tasks within the Department as needed.
Required Education / Experience / Skills:
-
Bachelors degree in Operations/Supply Chain Management or a minimum of three years experience.

CPIM/CSCP, plus.
-
Working knowledge in Operations/Supply Chain

Proficient in MS Excel (including pivot tables), and MS PowerPoint

Well-developed analytical skills, articulate, innovative and confident

Flexible, able to work on own initiative, deal with more than one project at a time, can work under pressure and tight deadlines, and prioritize tasks accordingly

Very good communication skills, verbal and written
