Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector
We are looking for a skilled QA Inspector to join our team at the Wausau location. Inspectors work in a team environment where we build motors and generators to our customer specifications with Safety and Quality as top priorities. Join our growing team and become part of a great place to work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Includes the following, other duties may be assigned:
- Read blueprints and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the products and supplies.
- Approve and reject raw materials with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance.
- Select output and check them using appropriate methods and measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications etc.
- Inspect procedures of the entire productions cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with safety standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to follow established procedures for safety, quality and general assembly.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Higher degree from a technical school is a plus.
- Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management.
- Experience in Microsoft office, Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Effective communication skills, written and verbal communications skills.
- 2-3 years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of engineering part drawing and general understanding the metallurgy
- Ability to understand the physical and mechanical properties of metal as affected by composition
- Mechanical working and heat treatments including metal cutting and grinding is desirable.
