The Sourced Product Business is part of Marathon Electric, responsible for providing finished goods that are not manufactured at one of our North American plants. This includes product sourced with external suppliers or product manufactured at one of our facilities in Asia. The team is also responsible for managing the Service Part offering and fulfillment for both motors and generators. We are looking for a Global Category Manager Expert to join our team.
Position Summary:
The Sr. HR Generalist II will work together with the HR Manager to integrate business objectives with our people strategy and initiatives. Support the impact of our employee programs including performance management, development, and engagement initiatives. Work with leaders to understand and articulate employee engagement feedback and data to enhance overall culture and work environment. Partner with site leads to ensure new tools/programs are delivered, and action plans are communicated and implemented at the site level.
Major Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing all aspects of human resources for onsite staff and union plant as well as a remote, out-of-state warehouse facility.
- Responsibilities include employee inquiries, correspondence, and departmental administration, i.e., basic employee questions, organizational change administration, vacancy analysis, performance review support, etc.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Facilitate new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Collaborate with union representatives to interpret and enforce the collective bargaining agreement.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and practices
- Lead Safety, Social, and Improvement Committees.
- Develop any necessary reports from HRIS for surveys, reports, internal and external data requests, etc. Own data integrity and processing in HRIS.
- Partner with managers on employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Other duties as outlined or needed for success.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent experience
- 5 years Human Resources Generalist experience
- PHR or SCP certification preferred
- Must have the ability to problem solve and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Must have the ability to work independently and with a Team
- Experience with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), such as Workday and UKG, preferred
- Union Relations experience, preferred
