Job Overview
The Tester is responsible for ensuring that each motor passes test specification per the paperwork.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Ability to visually verify per job instructions.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow multiple instructions at one time.
- Apply voltage clamps to test the newly assembled of motors.
- Prep the motors for the paint department.
- Pull motor model up online to review any special instructions.
- Input model & serial # into test panel program.
- Lower safety cage and run test while listening for abnormal noise during motor operation.
- Ensure accuracy of documentation with each motor.
- Actively participate in the cross-training program to improve and broaden skill set.
- Fits and assembles components according to assembly blueprints.
- Work productively and ensure timely flow of orders through the department.
- Demonstrate continued improvement in the areas of quality and productivity.
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with company policies and in line with company core values.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to use a computer with clear instructions and procedures.
- 2 or more years of manufacturing experience.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Physical capabilities include but are not limited to: frequent walking and standing, occasional twisting, stooping, carrying, handling, pushing, and pulling; climbing, kneeling, and regularly lifting 20-35 lbs. frequently and 26-50 lbs. occasionally.
- Majority of time is spent in a manufacturing production environment with some (but not all) climate-controlled areas. Personal protective safety equipment must be worn, and proper safety precautions must be observed.
- Must be physically able to push/pull motors. Bending and stopping to lift items.
- Must be able to manipulate large motors on a regular basis.
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
